Enrichment Activities
The Discovery Center School offers a variety of enrichment activities for all grade levels. Each year, assemblies and field trips are arranged to complement our curriculum and Life Skills
program.
Assemblies
Assemblies are offered to the primary, intermediate, and upper school grades separately so that the material remains grade appropriate. During the past school year, we were visited by
wild animals, amazing robots, an a cappella group, and Mr. Abraham Lincoln himself. In the spring, our students perform in a school-wide talent show.
Contests
Students also participate in national and regional contests for writing, art, and science. During the school year, the upper grades participate in a science fair.
Field Trips
The students at DCS are exposed to a variety of field trips that connect the curriculum to learning outside the classroom. Typically, field trips are taken to such places as the Exploratorium, the Tech Museum, Paramount's Great America Physics Day, and Triple Springs Ranch.
